TechieFreight ("we", "us", "our") operates the 1Click platform (1click.techiefreight.com) and the TechieFreight - OneClick browser extension (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form). If you are invited by a company administrator, they provide your name and email, and a temporary password is generated for you.

Billing Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status to manage your plan.

Connected Email Accounts

When you connect a Gmail or Outlook account, we store OAuth access and refresh tokens to send emails on your behalf. We do not read, scan, or store the contents of your inbox. Tokens are used solely to send emails you explicitly compose and trigger.

Email Activity

We log emails sent through the Service, including the recipient address, subject line, body content, and timestamp. This data is stored in your account so you can review your sent emails in the dashboard.

Browser Extension Data

The TechieFreight - OneClick extension operates on DAT load board pages. It:

  • Reads load data displayed on DAT pages to populate the email composer and calculator
  • Stores your API key locally in Chrome storage for authentication
  • Sends email inquiry requests to our servers when you click Send
  • Does not collect browsing history, keystrokes, or data from non-DAT websites

Load Data

The extension may capture load information from DAT's interface (origin, destination, rate, equipment, broker contact details) to enable features like the email composer, calculator, and load info panel. This data is processed locally and may be temporarily cached in your browser's IndexedDB storage.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the Service
  • To send emails on your behalf through your connected email account
  • To process subscription payments
  • To manage company memberships and team access
  • To send transactional emails (account invitations, password resets)
  • To improve the Service and fix issues

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Stripe — for payment processing
  • Google / Microsoft — OAuth tokens for connected email accounts (Gmail / Outlook APIs)
  • Elastic Email — for sending transactional emails (invitations, notifications)

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a secure database. Passwords are hashed using scrypt. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. We use HTTPS for all communications between the extension, dashboard, and our servers.

5. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request data deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Load data cached by the extension is automatically cleaned up after 7 days.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Disconnect your email accounts at any time
  • Revoke API keys at any time
  • Cancel your subscription at any time

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (session tokens). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the dashboard or sending an email.
